Tor de France meeting 5th edition

fall 2027, in Nice

TOR de France Association

TOR de France (TdF) is a scientific association established in 2024 with the mission of advancing research and promoting the dissemination of knowledge on TOR (Target of Rapamycin) signaling pathway and the consequences of its alternation in disease.

TOR signaling plays a central role in the regulation of cell growth, metabolism, aging, and disease. By fostering collaboration across disciplines, TdF aims to strengthen the scientific community working on these pathways and to accelerate discoveries with fundamental and clinical impact.

To achieve its goals, the association:

  • Organizes scientific events and conferences
  • Facilitates networking among researchers and clinicians
  • Supports and produces scientific publications
  • Offers financial support to young scientists
  • Provides expertise to public and private institutions

Through these activities, TdF contributes to building a dynamic and collaborative research environment at both national and international levels.

TOR de France Meeting

The TdF Meeting is a unique conference series dedicated entirely to TOR signaling and its broad implications in biology and medicine. Held every two years this conference covers a wide range of topics including nutrition, growth, metabolism, genetics, evolution, pharmacology, cancer, and neurodegenerative diseases.

This meeting brings together a diverse and interdisciplinary community, including:

  • Graduate students and postdoctoral researchers
  • Principal investigators and research group leaders
  • Medical doctors and clinician-scientists
  • Representatives from the pharmaceutical and biotech industries

Since 2018 four meetings were organized (2018, 2021, 2023, 2025), all  at the same venue, Saint-Paul hotel in Nice. Each time the conference has welcomed over 100 participants from France and abroad, creating a vibrant and interactive scientific environment. Since 2025 among participants of the “TOR de France 2025” meeting there are students and professors of the newly created European doctoral network MENTOR, coordinated by one of the organizers of the TdF.

By combining cutting-edge science with a collaborative spirit, the TOR de France Meeting has become a key event for the international TOR research community.
